Registration for the first Riga rogaine 2014 is open!
Riga - the capital of Latvia - for the first time will hold the Riga rogaine orienteering competition on 29 November, where teams of 2-5 participants will try to collect as many checkpoints as they can, located in the nearby area - the forest, the city and other interesting places.
The start and finish will be located at the shopping center "Alfa". The special and unusual feature of Riga rogaine is merging urban areas with nature. Participants will navigate on foot - by walking or running.
There will be 3 different distances available for participants - 2-hour distance suitable for families with children, 4-hour race suitable for experienced active leisure lovers, but the 6-hour distance will be suitable for rogaine fans and participants looking for extra adventure, because the last hours of the race will be in the dark.
Both, inhabitants and guests of Riga can participate in Riga rogaine. This race will be especially suitable for first-time participants, who want to get to know this healthy and intelligent kind of sport, thus promoting the recognition of this exciting activity in Riga and Latvia.
