Free Rogaining Walk For Children, Race Map is Published
On Saturday, November 21st, "Riga Rogaining" orienteering competition will take place in Riga, already for the 3rd time offering possibility for residents and city visitors getting to know better one of the parts of the city, searching for check points. The start point is located next to the shopping mall "Riga Plaza" at 12:00.
Participants have an opportunity to choose one of the three distances - 2 hours, 4 hours or 6 hours, and participate in teams, 2-5 people in a team. Already for the 2nd time Riga Rogaining offers special activity for children - together with the Bear, Squirrel and Hare to participate in 2 hour Rogaining walk. Registration takes place online www.rigasrogainings.lv until November 19th. Children, younger than 7 years can participate only with parents or guardians. Every child will receive a certificate for participation, as well as warm lunch and drink at the finish. It will be possible also to participate in creative crafts and listen to musical performances performed by other children.
Rogaining is an orienteering team sport, where teams of 2 to 5 participants compete in nature and urban environment. Teams choose which check points to visit within a certain time limit in order to maximise their score. Check points have different score value, and teams are ranked by the number of points they have collected.
