The competition is attended by orienteers, cyclists, as well as company teams, families and other lovers of active recreation who want to enjoy the many autumn views and spend time in nature. The team that has collected the most points within 4 hours wins the competition. The points have different values assigned according to the principles of rogaining - the more difficult points are worth more and vice versa.
"Adaži has beautiful nature and forests, as well as interesting terrain, so there will be fast stages and also physically more difficult, but we recommend that you respect and enjoy the beautiful autumn during the difficult stages," the organizers say about the competition. The approximate distance that the fastest teams will cover will be 75-80km, but those who want to enjoy nature, autumn and good company will cover half the distance.
To participate in the competition, you need a bicycle and a helmet, for orientation a compass and a marker will be useful for planning the distance, which will be given 15 minutes before the start of the competition. In previous years, teams not only from Latvia have participated in the competition, but also teams from neighboring countries have come to appreciate the beauty of domestic nature in autumn.
The competition format is suitable for participants of all ages, as each team plans its own distance. The format is challenging for experienced participants and exciting enough for first-time participants. Cheaper competition registration only until September 21 on the website www.xvelo.lv.
