“ATBILDĪBAS ANKETU” SUBMISSION
A mandatory condition for each team to be admitted to the start is to submit “Atbildības anketu” to the organizers, which was sent to the e-mail of the captain of each team after registration. The questionnaires must be printed, signed by each team member and scanned or photographed and sent to the organizers by e-mail xrace@xrace.lv until March 20 at 17:00. This will ensure a smoother process for picking numbers on race day! They can also be submitted at the competition center at the reception desk, but be aware that there may be queues because of this! Participants who are under the age of 18 and competing in a team that does not include an adult must submit a written permission from their parents or guardians to participate in the competition at the reception desk or send it electronically to e-mail.
NUMBER WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURE
Reception and check-out will be open from 10:30 a.m. Registration will be divided into 3 parts - 6 hour distance, 4 hour distance and 2 hour distance with Rogaining walk. The team representative must go to the table of his distance, name his team and, if “Atbildības anketa” has not been submitted to the organizers, then submit a “Atbildības anketa” signed by all team members. In return for the signature, the representative will be given a team envelope, which will contain participant numbers, safety pins, commemorative souvenirs, meal vouchers, SI card (electronic chip for recording results) and a white wristband for attaching the SI card to the arm, as well as various special offers and coupons from supporters. Teams renting compasses or GPS will be issued with envelopes.
GETTING MAPS, PLANNING THE DISTANCE AND STARTING
at At 11:30 a team representative will be able to receive cards at the competition center and go with the team to plan the route you will take during the selected time limit. When receiving the cards, it is mandatory to read the instructions written on the card. There will be a place under the canopy for planning, you can also plan in your cars or in the shopping center “Damme”.One card per participant. Before the start, every participant must put an SI card or chip on their arm with the help of a wristband. The chip may only be removed by the race judge at the finish (this is the only way we will know that you were in the distance).
Between 11:40-11:55, all participants must arrive at the start corridor, where everyone will check their wristbands and SI cards, and at the entrance it will be mandatory to check in at the START checkpoint, which will activate the SI card. Without this mark, no checkpoint visited in the distance will be counted. The start will be given at 12:00, when traffic will be blocked across the pedestrian crossing across Kurzemes prospect.
DISTANCE AND FINISH
When finding the checkpoint, all team members must mark themselves at the point - wait for the signal from the SI station. The team must mark itself at the finish checkpoint by the end of the time limit of the selected distance. Checkpoints visited after the end of the time limit will not be counted. For each minute delayed after the time limit, 1 point will be deducted from the number of points collected. If the team is more than 30 minutes late, no points will be awarded.
At the finish, the team must hand over the SI cards and other rented equipment, if any, to the judge. The results for the teams will be visible electronically on the screens in the competition center. After the finish, lunch is provided for each participant - pasta or soup, as well as warm tea. We invite you to stay for the award ceremony, during which we will draw prizes from the sponsor GARMIN - one prize will be drawn among the participants of each distance.

EQUIPMENT
Taking into account the weather forecast, we expect dry but cool weather, so we recommend that you think about warm sports clothes, a hat, gloves and comfortable shoes in which you can walk both in the city and in the forest. Mandatory equipment for each team is a mobile phone, which may only be used in emergency situations. Recommended distance equipment for all teams is a distance planning marker to mark the team's route, a compass with degree divisions, ruler, watch, energy food and drink.
STORAGE STORAGE
Before the start, you will have the opportunity to leave your belongings in the storage room. You must put your belongings in your bag or bag. After the finish, it will be possible to get them back by presenting the race number.
SAFETY AND TRAFFIC
Since road traffic in the city of Riga is not closed during the competition, all participants are obliged to follow the rules of the road during the competition, to be especially careful when crossing the streets, at traffic lights.
AREA
The Riga Rogaining area on the left side of the Daugava will be very diverse. The competition area will include the pine silos on the banks of Buļļupe and Lielupe, the wild Spilve meadows, the green forests of Imanta, the concrete jungles of the residential areas of Imanta, Ķīpsala, Iļguciem, Bolderāja, as well as the labyrinths of small gardens on the banks of the Daugava. We will try with the distance planning to allow the participants to experience the magic of Pārdaugava.
RACE MAP AND MARKS
The unique competition terrain, which combines forest and city, determines the variety of map designations. In order to optimally represent both forests and parts of the city on one map, the competition map will have two types of representation of the surroundings. In the wooded parts of the area, you will use a simplified orienteering map suitable for rogaining - the largest roads and distinct trails are marked, the forest is depicted in green, and the open areas in white. The brown lines represent the landforms. Laser scanning data is used to represent the terrain. Prohibited areas are colored olive green - you must not cross them. The second type of map that will be found in the race maps will be a map produced by map publisher "Jāņa sēta", which shows detailed streets, houses and industrial areas. You will use this map when moving around the built-up part of the competition area.
For those who are not familiar with orientation symbols, it will be useful to explain that the red circles are checkpoints. The checkpoint itself can be found in nature in the center of the circle. The start is marked with a red triangle, while the finish - with two concentric circles in red color. Next to each point on the map is a checkpoint number - a two-digit number, the first digit of which means the value of the point. The point values will be from 2 to 6 and the total amount of points to be obtained is 188.

The cards will be moisture resistant, but each participant is responsible for keeping the card in wet conditions. The scale of the map is 1:20,000, or 1 centimeter on the map is equal to 200 meters in nature; card size: 44 x 62 cm. Map author and distance planner - Jānis Tamužs. There are two bridges in the distance that can be dangerous to cross and are marked with a red exclamation mark. One of the bridges has recently partially burned down, but is still passable, and the second one is under construction for the railway line Bolderāja 2-Krievu sala.
DRINKS AND FOOD
There are no refreshment points during the distance, but every participant will receive one after the finish Vichy a drink and, upon presentation of a meal voucher, you will get lunch - pasta or vegetarian soup. Hot tea will also be available.
AWARDS
In the two- and four-hour distances, teams are not divided by age groups, and all teams start Open or in open groups, excluding family teams. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in men's, women's, mixed and family groups. In the six-hour distance, teams are divided into junior, open, veteran, super-veteran and family groups, but, as an exception to the rogaining rules, teams will be judged and awarded only within their age groups, so neither junior, veteran, nor super-veteran teams compete or receive awards Open within the group.
We wish all participants to have fun searching and finding checkpoints on March 21!
