This year, the start of the competition was given in Olaines Mežapark. "Last year, you could put yourself in the shoes of German, Russian, Latvian and Soviet riflemen, storming checkpoints hidden in trenches and barracks on a map that looked like a stitched together tapestry from before the war to the present day. This year we started from Mežapark in the town of Olaine, from where we went in the western direction to the Cena moor, a new map was drawn," says the author of the distance. Reinis Bērziname. It should be mentioned that the participants of the distance had to go not only across swamps, through forests and meadows after the checkpoints.

On the other hand, in MTB rogaining, Artūrs Verza was the most skilled pedaler in the men's group, Jānis Kaupe was in second place and Jānis Lācis was third in the men's competition. The women's competition was won by Zane Vitenberga-Verza. Inese Briede took second place, leaving behind Ilzi Bērziņu.

Already on July 25, all rogaining and orienteering enthusiasts are invited to join the Valmiera rogaining, which is the third stage of the new rogaining series “Pilsētas leģendas”.
