New year, new developments! Registration is open
On the eve of Vēl Vecgada, we wanted to share some news for the 2020 season, but before we do, we want to thank all our loyal participants for this year's adventures, strategies, challenges and smiling faces at the finish line. This gives us the strength to continue and keep improving ourselves and offer you ever new and interesting distances and opportunities to build strategies.

New year, new things!
Our distance planner Reinis has just returned from a 1000km hike on the Amerikas Apalaču trail... yes, yes - on foot and now he is calm and also full of inspiration to plan interesting maps and put checkpoints in such a way that the right strategy doesn't just come to his head right away.
We can reveal that the spring Riga Rogaining (the first stage of the new rogaining series "Pilsētas leģendas" - see below) will take place at t/c Spice and its territory will lead to unprecedented places. Therefore, those who think that the whole of Riga has already run, will have to run some more. Let's run from Torņkalns to Tīraine. No Dzintariem (for those in Mārupe) to Stūnīši. In between, let's explore where Mārupīte begins and see what grows in Akmensdārz. If someone brings buns, you can have a meal while watching the planes land or take off.
Registration for Riga Rogaining is open, and you can use the reduced participation fee until January 5.
And the most important thing - we wish you and your loved ones a peaceful and harmonious Christmas and new success in the New Year!
New Rogaining Series Urban Legends
Legends are already telling about what happened in Rogaining today, which grow even more fantastic every year and will probably soon become folklore along with the so-called "PILSĒTAS LEĢENDĀM" (English: "URBAN LEGENDS"). Time will tell which urban legend we will believe more - or the giant catfish in the Daugava river that swallowed swimmers, or the 3-meter long Ilģuciem devil-leader of Ilģuciem, or the fact that the locals developed photo films in a ditch in Olaine (especially after the ERAF clean-up project), or the underground passage that connected the Valmiera castle with Kaugurmuiža, or still two reckless Rogainers who are on a piece of ice having swam across the Jugla river. But maybe next year your adventure will become the next CITY LEGEND.
Since we held several separate rogainis in 2019, it seemed only logical that we should combine them and allow participants to think about their strategy throughout the season and fight for the overall ranking.
The Rogaining series will consist of 6 stages in different cities and also regions that will form the overall ranking of the competition. Some of the stages will also have a 3h MTB distance for those who enjoy cycling more than running. One of the stages will be the evening/night stage, and we can whisper that it will be in the very center of Riga. Our distance planner Reini also has ideas for special stages where extra points can be earned. Similar to the "kalnu karaļa posms" running race. We will introduce all these and other news in more detail at the end of January.
